Heimat: Kartoffel Salat

This series of work focus on family and making memories/ mementos out of scraps, I don’t really have a lot of photos or items from growing up due to an estranged parent physically destroying most items out of spite. I took it upon myself to make things that are meaningful to my little family and that we hold onto. Shown above is a traditional Bavarian potato salad on furniture (tablecloth included) that has been in my dad’s family since the 60’s when he was growing up in München along with my grandma’s handwritten recipe on how to make the salad above.
